Best Custard Pastry Cream

This incredibly delicious and addicting cream recipe is similar to a French custard pudding but is lightened up with a portion of sweet and fluffy whipped cream making it the perfect filling.

This recipe creates a simple, delicious pastry cream that can be used in many types of desserts... Be creative and have fun with this outstanding recipe!

1. To protect the delicate custard from heating up too quickly and curdling during the cooking process, move the custard mixture off the heat periodically while stirring.


2. Keep the custard mixture whisked and moving while cooking, and do not allow the milk to come near the boiling stage, as the milk will curdle if it comes too close to boiling.


3. Use a spatula to avoid any sticking to the pan while cooking. And to keep the pastry cream smooth, use a whisk to gently stir the hot custard while cooking. And again..., if you feel that the custard is heating up too quickly or getting too close to the boiling point, remove it from the heat while also continuing to stir.
